Since I wouldn't consider these sorts of speed painting things official gallery worthy since they're basically only done for practice/experimenting, I'll post them here so people can see them anyway. EDIT: I've changed these into links because this is easier than shrinking them to make them load faster and fit better on the page. A blue one. A red one. A purple one. A green one. A yellow one. I'm having a lot of fun with these since they're so loose and only take about 20 minutes to make. This might speed up and improve my painting in general! |

The wings are really awesome. I think the red and yellow ones are my favourites. I'm also quite fond of the purple one - really get to see the wings. Uh, thats all I can think to say. |

Hmmm perhaps some dot points are in order, or... a list at least. Blue Dragon! - The head is amazing, the chest is pretty good, though artistically it's great I dislike it personally. The wing on its right (our left) is a tad... straight and this removes some realism form the piece (though it is a dragon so realism isn't really a problem =.=') And though overall I don't like it it is well done and I couldn't do any better if it took me years o_O. Red Dragon!- I love it, overall it's amazing, the head is so... demonic almost, the teeth are well done in contrast with the red and black, the single colour for it's eyes so shiny red amazing =3. Anatomically it's a little on the anorexic side, though I doubt it likes me saying that =O The legs are well done, again the wings I dislike, the outline is in place but the gap in the wing, that is suppose to be part of the wing just.. annoys me I guess. But still, amazing! Purple Dragon!- The wings =O I love them, seriously xD. The smooth outline I just love and the hap-hazzard colouring (No offence) =) The back and the spines are just awesome, the tail curling =3 wonderful. though there's less detain and I like it more so there's less to say =O Green Dragon! - I love this one too, the detail is great, so different from the others, The slight smile, the ear thingys =P I just love it. Especially the almost 'feathers' that crown it's head and on the end of it's tail It's really great. Yellow Dragon! - I like this one too, but it's not quite love, the anatomy is skewed from my angle, the chest looks like it's too far on it's right (our left) it just looks strange (to me, I might just be a freak =P) I love the wings, and the legs are amazing, so... Realistic again, but it's more than that, it looks like it could actually move. The feet and the tail, amazing detail (especially the two other tail-like things) Anyway, that's my brain all melted now, there's probably more I could/should have said, but I love them all =) You're a great artist. Awesome work. |

BLUE ONE:- I think this drawing of yours is messy. The fills were coming out of the body, the body itself didnt seem in proportion. The part that was the messiest was the tail. The face was the only thing I liked here. 3/5 RED ONE:- This one is pretty cool! The body is well drawn and coloured, my only complain is that it gets hard to see where the wings actually join its body. One of them is too short or too low. 4/5 PURPLE ONE:- Its good. Thats all I have to say. 3/5 GREEN ONE:- What bothers me here is the size of the tail. It looks fatter than the rest of the body. 3.5/5 YELLOW ONE:- THIS IS MY FAVOURITE! Looks perfect! I think this is worthy of being in the main gallery. 5/5 |
